Administration is the supportive department which facilitates and provides support to other Clinical Service Departments in Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre (SGNHC). Staff are qualified and trained in the concerned field. Strict monitoring, supervision and evaluation are done to all staff working in the Administration Department. Each unit is headed by Officer or senior level staff. Management has put all efforts to make each transaction and activity transparent. Roles, responsibilities and functions of each staff are clearly defined in the written format. SGNHC has a unique feature of outsourcing of various support services.

Annual Performance Appraisal of each staff must be done by the Supervisor, Reviewer and Review Committee at the end of each fiscal year. SGNHC follow very clear, transparent and objective criteria to recruit and promote the staff.

Major Functions of Department of Administration:

  • Manage support and utility services and assist to clinical services.
  • Develop draft rules, regulations, guidelines and norms in consultation with other departments.
  • Maintain records, files and documents related to policy, management and operation of hospital services.
  • Monitor, supervise and evaluate administrative services of the Centre.
  • Prepare annual programs and budget; and implement annual programs.
  • Liaison with various governmental and non-governmental; national and international organizations.
  • Analyze and publish statistic of the hospital services.
  • Conduct various programs in connection with the achievement of short-term, annual and long-term plan.
  • Recruit, appoint, train and promote staff according to the prevailing rules and regulations.
  • Run various programs as per the requirement of SGNHC.
